year's outstanding chapters at AGC's 86th Annual Convention
in Las Vegas, March 14-18.
Small and Large Chapter of the Year awards are given in recognition
of excellence in chapter management, membership recruitment
and member services. In conjunction with the Chapter of the
Year Awards, AGC also gives the James E. Cashman Trophy to
the chapter with the most effective membership program and
the J. Howard Mock Award to the chapter with the greatest
increase in net membership growth.
This year, three AGC chapters were recognized for their invaluable
service to their members and to the national organization.
Alabama AGC was recognized twice, receiving both the Large

them stronger political influence with Alabama lawmakers.
Alabama AGC was also one of the first chapters to host steel
erection training through the Susan Harwood grant at national
AGC.
The Small Chapter of the Year (a chapter operating with a

media exposure, covering efforts made to improve the industry's
image through various service projects, educational endeavors and training for young constructors
and students.
